Cohen 如今已入古稀之年，依然不断有作品问世，对于喜欢他的人而言，这只低沉且沧桑的大提琴可真是愈老愈有味道，是无论如何都不会错过的。毫无疑问，Cohen 对于60~70年代以诗入歌的概念有着深刻的启发，而且对于80年代末的新民歌运动，如Suzanne Vega, Michelle Shocked 也有深远的影响，Nick Cave也宣称COHEN对他起到了极其重要的影响，称之为“精神上的父亲”。
